Our promise
YapRecap is built with one core promise: your conversations are yours. Every byte of your WhatsApp export is processed entirely within your own browser. Nothing is ever sent to any server, logged, stored, or shared.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect your name, email, chat content, analytics data, or any personal information. YapRecap has no backend, no database, and no way to access your messages.
How it works
When you upload a .txt file, it is read directly in your browser using the Web File API. The parsing, analysis, and story generation all happen locally on your device. Closing the tab clears everything.
Third parties
YapRecap does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. The only external service is Vercel, which hosts the static files of the application itself (not your data).
